The Suzuki V-Strom 1000 has been around since 2003 except for a brief absense in 2013. The big V-Strom made it's return to the lineup in 2014 in a big way. Totally redesigned, it sports anti-lock brakes, traction control, and a larger retuned engine. Yes, it's still a big, comfortable light touring bike. Some folks have even been known to take it off road for some true adventure duty. It is truly a "jack of all trades". A sort of Swiss Army Bike. Not the best at anything, but not bad at anything either. Known for its comfort, reliability, and good handling, the V-Strom is a great bike whether you are covering highway miles, or carving canyons.

Don't underestimate how good the V-Strom is. It might look like a wanna be dirt bike and be ridden by old men, but you can hustle it down a twisty road with ease and given enough skill, keep pace with some sportier rides.
