2009 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750
What the heck is an Aprilia?

Aprilia has been around for a long time. They have a rich racing heritage and are well known in other parts of the world, but not so much in the United States. Many in the US call Aprilia a "poor man's Ducati", and while they are lower cost than a Ducati, they are not "cheap".

Over my years of riding, I have owned big motorcycles, small motorcycles, fast motorcycles, and not so fast motorcycles. What I discovered is I was looking for a motorcycle that struck a perfect balance. The Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 is very very close. It's lightweight and flickable, has a very rider friendly 90 degree V-twin (some argue it is an L-twin due to the 90 degree layout), and is comfortable to ride for a person my size. It offers good performance without your having to ride it well above the legal limits to enjoy it.

I'm enjoying the Aprilia and find very few faults other than the extremely small fuel tank which limits range to about 100 miles before you better start looking for a gas pump.
